On the Mend Summary

Here is a summary I wrote on the book we read. On the Mend. My reading group has been working really hard on our work.

This story is about K2 the kiwi. When K2 was born he injured his leg and it was pretty bad. As time flew by he learnt to walk on one foot but he needed support with his Bill. He was kept at the Whangarei Kiwi House. When he grew up he was taken to the Auckland zoo to be checked if he could live in the wild. They had options but they went for the impossible. Operating a K2s leg. K2 had support from the BNZ kiwi trust and the from the council. His first operation was successful but the screws were loose. So they booked another operation a month later and it was a real Success. It was a huge improvement, or tho he improved, he could never walk entirely normal again.

Ripper Rugby

Ripper Rugby

Today Room 7 a great session at Ripper Rugby. Our coach was Matt, he is a coach at Varsity Rugby Union. Some students from our school know him because they currently play for Varsity.

Ripper rugby is a sport where there is no contact. Just two tags that you have to rip off their waist belt. It’s a very quick speed game. It’s fast and has a lot of intensity. (So back to the Recount).

First of all we had a warmup game, where 3 taggers have to tag you with a rugby ball. Once you get tagged you either have to do a pressup or a starjump. It was a very fun game. Then we moved on to passing. There are 4 cones set and you have to move the ball from one end to the other. We learnt that we have to have our targets up, communication etc.

After that we moved on to Bull Rush. Everyone had to get a belt and a tag. Later on we hopped straight on to the game. It started off as one tagger then the number of taggers went higher and higher. There was only two runners left and the whole class in the middle. They both tried their hardest but only one prevailed.

When the game ended we all packed up and had a huddle on what we had learnt today. I had learnt that we always have to communicate. So communicate and try your hardest in every game you play.

Son Goku

Son Goku

There is this hero named Son Goku. He lives in Universe 7. He saves the world from any harm. He is a Super Saiyan that has two sons named Gohan and Goten. He has a charming/furious wife Chi Chi. He has great friends. He loves to fight new opponents that are stronger than him.

He his in his 40s but he looks like he is in his 20s. Saiyans don’t grow old they stay in their youth days. He has Black/Blonde hair. He wears Orange fighting gear. He never gives up. He has been brought up by his Grandpa Gohan.

Goku has grown up and basically trained his whole life. He was way ahead of the old guys even when he was 10. He has special powers called Instant Transmission, Kamehameha and more.

His rival and bff Vegeta,  has been Goku's rival since nearly day 1. They have been enemies and now they are best friends.

That's just a bit about Goku, I hope you

The Story about Nelson Mandela's Life

Nelson Mandela’s Life:

This story is about Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela’s life and trying to stand up for the africans and try to give better lives to children and other ages. Nelson Mandela was born on July 18-1918 on the eastern coast of africa in Mvezo. When his father passed away, when he was 9 he was raised by royalty. He was the first person to attend school in his family.

Later on when he was a young adult, he became an activist with the African National Congress. He was doing everything well then his campaign hit a brick wall when he was acquitted and charged a large amount of treason against the government with 155 other activists in 1962.

Mandela tried to fight back, against the military and government targets and planning a possible war. Nelson Mandela tried to make the country better. Mandela was released after 27 years of being imprisoned and talks to form a multi-racial democracy were set to begin.

Three years later he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end apartheid. Months after he was elected president. Since he stepped down as president in 1999, Nelson Mandela has been dedicated to end global poverty and wars helping to resolve wars and conflicts through Africa.

Sad enough he past away on December 5 2013.

That is the story about Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.

My Golden NIssan

My Golden Nissan

One Sunny day, Tom was cruising down the countryside. Where the road is surrounded by high mountains, many kilometres long. There were no traffic around, just him and the road. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing and it was hitting the body of his car, reflecting the beautiful golden colour of his Nissan.

All of a sudden a loud pop sound came from the side of his car which Tom immediately recognized that he just got a flat tyre because the steering wheel started shaking. He slowed down and stopped on the side of the road ,turned the car off opened his door and jumped out.

He saw his  front right tyre was flat, he just ran over a sharp nail. Tom didn’t want to get his hands dirty but luckily he is a current member of the AA road side safety company. He quickly called them and they turned up 10 minutes later to fix his flat tyre. He was so happy with the service that he was able to get into his car and drive away to continue his journey through the beautiful countryside.

The End
