Fraction Splat

Today I played a game called Fraction Splatters. It was challenging because I had to get a high score at a limited time. There are two modes Fast and Slow mode. I got 570 points. I hope others will get a High Score as well.

Why is the Church Special in Our Community ?

Why is the Church Special in Our Community ?

The Church is a really special place in the community because we go there to worship God and ask for forgiveness for the sins we have committed.

The Church is special to me because we can pray and read the Holy Bible with the Minister and others. The word of God  is good and it  can take away all the stress in your mind when we pray to God. It’s good to go to church because we can communicate with others in our community in our own Language and pray with each other.

We go to church so we can pray and thank God for everything he has done for us and be with us when the week passes by. We also go to church so we can pray and ask him to heal our wounds on our body if we are hurt.

The Church is a way to go and pray and communicate with our Holy Father. Church has a very big building. There are a lot of different denominations in the Christian church because a lot of people go to church.

A church is a special place because it enables people to come together and socialise with each other apart from studying the Bible and learning about God.

The Big Game By: Sue Gibbison

Title: The Big Game
By: Sue Gibbison

This story is about a family that wanted to go to a rugby game. Then eventually they did.  Mum had conditions for the kids for going to the game. The children had to do all the chores. Mum and the kids were excited to go to the pre-season match. Their favourite player was Shane from the opposition team because he was really famous.

They liked rugby but they were a soccer family. They only went because it was a special pre-season match. Whenever something happened in town, they always  missed out so Mum rewarded them  by allowing them to go to the big game. They were so happy to go and watch them in action in real life.

The characters in the story are Karla, Author, Shane and Mum. This story took place at the rugby field in their home town. I like this story because It is very interesting to read and Mum was being very tricky.

The lonely Monster

The lonely Monster: Story Review

By Glen Ormsby

This tale is about a boy named George who found a little pet monster named John. John was a really sad monster because they teased him for being a different kind of monster.

George thought he was going to be attacked, But John liked him. So they played for and hour. When they finished playing, George decided to take him home.

George's Mum didn't want a pet monster in the house. So George begged her so much that mum had no choice but to let John in. So they lived happily ever after.

Pollution

Pollution

Pollution is bad for our environment.

Pollution creates torture to our world.

Pollution is created by people throwing their rubbish on the ground. This is really bad for the world, and bad for us humans.

Car exhaust fumes is part of world pollution too. Pollution spreads around the world. It spreads country to country and city to city.

So we need to walk, exercise more and ride a bicycle or scooter, anything that doesn’t have petrol or cause pollution.

So  one solution could be that you can ride your bicycle to work or school.

So keep our world clean.

The Big Shift by Jaqui Brown

This story is about  Dad and Mum splitting up and Mum and the kids moved to where she grew up in Wellington. The storyteller missed his Dad a lot but he got over it. The storyteller only liked the smell of food  and the different languages he heard in his neighbourhood when he moved to Wellington with his mum. One night he walked across to some boys who were beating up a kid named Tomo and he chased them off.. The story teller became friends with Tomo. Tomo introduced him to his  friend named Meilai. All three of them became friends. When they grew up Tomo wanted to be a doctor and Meilai lived in Auckland with her Mum, and the storyteller wanted to be a vet.
This story took place at the farm and in Wellington. The characters in the story are Dad, Mum, Meilai, Cherie, Terei, Tomo and storyteller. I felt sad for the storyteller because he missed his Dad a lot.
