Advertising Year 8 Sponsors
Hi Glenbrae School Community our year 8 students are fundraising for a end of year t-shirt. It will be blast if you sponsor some of our year 8 students. Us year 8’s will try to earn sponsorship by Holding a Sausage Sizzle, Cleaning up the Glenbrae Reserve + creek. We will give 110% effort and commitment. Once again it will be awesome if you sponsor us students. Thank you very much.

Touch Session
Today we had our second touch session. First of all we had a warm up game. Shortly after we went into our first activity. It was an interesting activity. Our couch told us we had to learn all of the basics before you play actual touch. He taught us a unique technique called "Two man settle". After that we continued on developing the skill. Then our coach told us to have a quick round of a game touch. But there was a downside, we had no time due to our new reliever and us students not listening. Then we headed back to class.

Carrie's Cubes
Carries Cubes
Here is the problem we worked on today on our Math lesson. If you want to solve it or give it a try then go for it. We found making a model with cubes actually helped us with our lesson.
Carrie has glued some cubes together to make a large solid cube with nine small cubes showing on a face.
She paints the large cube red.
How many of the original small cubes have:
- three faces painted red
- two faces painted red
- one face painted red
- no faces painted red
Glenbrae Kids
This morning after Reciprocal Reading we headed down to Glenbrae Kids for a little visit. Once we got there, we all had to pick a partner that we would cooperate with during our visit there. Shortly after we selected our partners we had to read a book to them. After we read a book to them and also playing toys with them we had to say our goodbyes. It was a great experience with the little kids their at Glenbrae Kids. Then later on we came back to our classroom.
A funny thing that happened was that a bird came into our senior corridor and threatened us (lol) .

Reason why i’m blogging about this: We are going to Te Tuhi on Thursday next week so we are researching about some Abstract Artists and Facts.
The artist I picked is Kadar Brock
- What did they Draw?
Kadar Brock
- What are some themes from their artwork?
Some of his themes are Hunting and more
- Where did abstract art start from?
From 1909 to 1913 many experimental works in the search for this 'pure art' had been created: Francis Picabia painted Caoutchouc, 1909, The Spring, 1912, Dances at the Spring and The Procession, Seville, 1912; Wassily Kandinsky painted Untitled (First Abstract Watercolor), 1910, Improvisation 21A, the Impression series ...
