My Golden Nissan

One Sunny day, Tom was cruising down the countryside. Where the road is surrounded by high mountains, many kilometres long.There were no traffic around, just him and the road.The sun was shining, the wind was blowing and it was hitting the body of his car, reflecting the beautiful golden colour of his Nissan.

All of a sudden a loud pop sound came from the side of his car which Tom immediately recognized that he just got a flat tyre because the steering wheel started shaking. He slowed down and stopped on the side of the road ,turned the car off opened his door and jumped out.

He saw his  front right tyre was flat, he just ran over a sharp nail. Tom didn’t want to get his hands dirty but luckily he is a current member of the AA road side safety company. He quickly called them and they turned up 10 minutes later to fix his flat tyre. He was so happy with the service that he was able to get into his car and drive away to continue his journey through the beautiful countryside.

Maths Lesson/Doubling and Halving

Today we had a lesson on doubling and halving. We had 2 equations.But you could work both problems with the same strategy. The strategy you could use with both equations is Doubling and Halving. Using Doubling and halving will give the same answer.

Here's my working out on both equations:

132x10=1320

D/12=6 and H/22=11

12x11=132 or

6x22=132

Same answer different working out.

Christchurch Earthquake 2016 5.7

Earthquake in Christchurch 2016

On Sunday afternoon. In Christchurch, A 5.7 earthquake struck. Everyone felt it in Christchurch and through to Wellington. 
Facts:

• A cliff has collapsed in Sumner
• Shelves have fallen in homes, shops and libraries, so far no severe injuries or damage.
• Riccarton Mall, Northlands Mall, Ballantynes and Colombo Mall have been evacuated.
•  Spark is urging people to text or use data where possible to stop phone lines overloading.
  • Police say at least 450 homes are without power
  • Aftershocks are continuing.

Who i am

My name is Moses and I am Samoan. I was born in Melbourne Australia, but raised in New Zealand basically my whole life. I love my family they are my world. I am currently a year 8 student. When I first started at Glenbrae I was a really shy boy. As the years went by I got more confident in myself. I really enjoy learning and playing all kinds of sports. My favorite subjects are Reading, Writing and Maths. I like eating home food as well as takeaways. I also want to be the best I can be this year.To be a better role model and respect others more.

This year I want to learn new things and achieve more goals. I have learnt respecting others does make a difference.

I am excited to work with my peers and teachers this year. I hope all goes well for everyone. I wish everyone the best this year.

Cindy in Da House

Cindy in Da House

On 21/9/15 there we kids in blue uniform pouring into Pt England School. There were 3 school’s present. Glenbrae,Ruapotaka and Te Pua. It was terrifying because they were running like wild animals.

I went inside the school hall and they were watching a musical named, Cindy in Da house. Kids were all seated and well behaved. Some of Pt England students were acting out the whole musical. The students from Pt England were well trained at being actors.

In the musical there were Dancing, Acting and Singing. It was remix of the Cinderella story.  They had a projector playing everything in background, Probs. They had a scene when they all had Prefects’ Ball.

There was a scene where Josh was in the Gym and was thinking about a girl for the Ball. His Mind was all on his rugby that he forgot there was Prefects’ Ball and a partner. He is the XXV Captain. Then he found the right girl. The dancing they had was awesome. The Prefects’ Ball was so intense the DJ turned it on!. Everyone was putting on their own moves.

Cindy(Josh’s GirlFriend) stormed in and rocked up her dance moves. Then when she was running away, I don’t know why her Jandal Fell off. Josh found the Jandal and wanted to find her. So he had his friends to find her. They walked all over G.I just to find. They went to a lot of houses and never found the right pair. Then they came to the last house they were going to check. Finally they found Cindy and she had the right pair. Then they got together and lived happily ever after.
