Abstract Art
Reason why i’m blogging about this: We are going to Te Tuhi on Thursday next week so we are researching about some Abstract Artists and Facts.
The artist I picked is Kadar Brock
- What did they Draw?
Kadar Brock
- What are some themes from their artwork?
Some of his themes are Hunting and more
- Where did abstract art start from?
From 1909 to 1913 many experimental works in the search for this 'pure art' had been created: Francis Picabia painted Caoutchouc, 1909, The Spring, 1912, Dances at the Spring and The Procession, Seville, 1912; Wassily Kandinsky painted Untitled (First Abstract Watercolor), 1910, Improvisation 21A, the Impression series ...

Tech Session(Cooking)
Today we had our first tech session for Term 4. Unfortunately Miss Heka wasn't available today because she had to be apart of the Hangi cause today was Tamaki College 25 anniversary. So we went with Mrs Tuipolotu. First off all we assembled at the back of the School cause that's where the 2nd cooking class is held. Once we got in we had to Wash our hands and sit down our chairs. After that Mrs Tuipolotu told us that we were going to make Choc Chip Cookies. We were very excited. Later on we had to put all of the ingredients inside a Bowl. Then we had to make our cookies and put them in the Oven. Once it was cooked we had to clean up everything that was dirty or misplaced. Then the 2nd period Bell went and we had to go back to school.
Most of our cookies were alright but some not so much.

Kiwi Can Session
Today we had a Kiwi Can Session as usual. First of all we had to line up outside of our classroom and had to be silent so we could go to Room 11, (Where Kiwi Can is Held). Once we entered Room 11, we had to greet Ms Tuia and Mr Numia. After that we had to talk about our new Topic and Theme. I forgot what the Topic was but the theme was (Respect). Next we went outside to play a game called Cone Plays. It was a fun game but it ended very quickly. When we came back to the Room 11 we had to talk about what is Respect and Values, Later on we went straight onto our activity. Our activity was Role Plays. We were split into 5 groups and had to come up with a role play about the subject they gave us. After our activity we had a quick round of GKQ(General Knowledge Questions). Then we said thank you for the session and headed back to Class.

Kiwi Can Reflection
Kiwi can is over for Term 3. We have had a lot of topics this term, such as Goal setting, Problem Solving and Perseverance. It has taught me a lot of of what life can be. I've learned a lot of new words and all sorts of things. So let's talk about every topic individually.
Problem Solving: We learnt how to solve a problem as a team and as a unit. I'm pretty sure it has helped us all. From not knowing how to solve a problem from snapping to solve the situation.
Goal Setting: Goal setting is a big factor in lives. I've learnt that making a goal won't be easy but if you try and never give up you won't fail and you will achieve with no doubt.
Perseverance: Perseverance we have learned to never give up, keep on trying. It's similar to Resilience.
This term Kiwi Can gave us awesome activities to solve as a team and as a unit. I think working as a unit has made Room 7 students become more closer.
That was my reflection on how my Term 3 at Kiwi Can went.

Science Intesive
Science Intensive
Today half of Room 7 was in Room 10 today with Mrs Moopanar. We tried a lot of experiments. Miss was doing Magnet for her science. The first experiment was Follow the Force it was an okay experiment. The next experiment was The Decisive magnet. It was a short experiment but fun. After that we tried another experiment called The invisible dance partner. We placed the magnet down and let the U shape magnet flow side to side. Our last activity was The jitters. We all placed all of the bar magnets and let the U shape flow all around the triangle. After that we drew a plane, car and a fish.
We are going to do more but this is what we have done so far.
