Reading Week 1

Science Experiment

Today we had a science experiment. Miss Stone gave out a jar each to every group. After that Miss Stone gave us balloons and tiny bit of sugar to start or experiment. The point of the experiment was to cut a piece of balloon and then place it on top of the jar. Next we got the sugar and place it on top of the jar and we hummed to see if the sugar will vibrate off it.

But!!! it's still not confirmed if it was the air from our Nose or it's really the sound.

During the ancient Olympic Games, men were allowed to compete in the events but women were not. In fact, women were often forbidden from even watching the games.

I think its pretty unfair. Girls have the same attributes as the Boys. But boys are better at some things and girls are better at other things. It's so good to add in girls as well so people won't get bored. I know some girls in my class will definitely disagree with the rule. But they will be happy for this new rule.

Milo Kroton was a six-time Olympic victor. He was a 6th-century BC wrestler from the Magna Graecian city ofCroton, who enjoyed a brilliant wrestling career and won many victories in the most important athletic festivals of ancient Greece. The date of Milo's death is unknown, but he reportedly was attempting to tear a tree apart when his hands became trapped in a crevice in its trunk, and a pack of wolves surprised and devoured him

Day 1-Olympic Game choice!-Once upon a time in Olympia

If I were alive 2792 years ago and were invited to compete in the first ever ancient Olympic games w. If the only sports available back then was boxing, running, wrestling, horse racing, pankration and pentathlon, which sports would you choose to compete in.

I would compete in Running. I already love running. So of course i'll pick running. I watch a lot of 100 m Sprinting, 200 m Sprinting and 4 x 100 relay. Its fun to watch and enjoyable.  Hopefully Usain Bolt will win this year at the Rio Olympics 2016. All the Best Usain.

QLD vs NSW

On Wednesday it was game day. QLD(Queensland) vs NSW(New South Wales). This is the best rivalry in Rugby League history(Fact). QLD is my fav team, Since I was born inside the QLD area. So on that day I was getting ready to watch the game. I was so pumped because it was the final game of the series. QLD was up 2-0, to make it 3 in a row it will be an awesome clean sweep. It was 30 minutes from the game, but I completely forgot that it was Gym day. I was so gutted because I had to go. I missed out 3/4 of the game which was disappointing. But at least I saw the best part of the game. It was an intense game 14-12. 2 more minutes to play, and NSW had a run away down field. They scored and won the game. But QLD still won the series.

Term 2 Reflection

Term 2 was filled with a lot of ups and downs. It was a Fun, Sad, Mad, Weird, Funny etc Term. I've improved a lot from Term 1, Educational and behavior wise. Still a lot to improve on tho. First of all I'd like to say thank you to Mrs Tofa and Miss Stone for a wonderful Term 2. Without you guys we wouldn't be as close as we are right now. So thank you guys.

I had a lot of great moments in Term 2. Mostly learning new things and of course having fun with my Family, Friends and Teachers. Kiwi Can was also a huge factor for me and other students from our school. Kiwi can gives us life lessons that truly touch us deep. They also talk about how we could stay positive and move forward in life, to forget about what has happened in the past.

Every 2-3 Weeks Kiwi Can has different themes for us students to think and understand the meaning of the prompt, Such as Leadership, PB4L, etc. For every theme they always have a cool catchphrase and it hypes and gives joy to all of us. Kiwi Can also gives us awesome activities to solve as a team and as a unit. I think working as a unit has made Room 7 students become more closer. I know we all have our ups and downs we still gotten through it all. Term 3 I'm READY. Stay safe and all have a wonderful holiday.

That was my reflection on how my Term 2 went.
