Lucy picked strawberries with her family during the summer. They get paid $7 for each kilogram of strawberries picked. How many kilograms do they need to pick if they want to earn $420?

60 kilograms. I know 7 x 6= 42. Then I knew 7 x 60= 420

Mrs Tofa went to dinner last night with her friends. It is is $26.90 per person at Genghis Khan. If there were four of them, how much did they pay together?

$107.60.  $26.90 x 4=107.60

Goku's House

Goku's House description

This is Goku's house. Goku is a Superhero who can turn super saiyan. A super saiyan is a half alien and a half human He lives with his wife and his two children. His house costs over 100,000 grand. Why you ask? Its because this house has been around for over 1 million years, It has been past down by generation to generation and it is also ancient. This house is placed alone somewhere up Mt WetaWera. It looks small from the outside but actually it's pretty big inside.

It has got a big backyard where the kids can play, well goten. (Goten) is goku's youngest son. Goku's oldest son goku (Gohan) always studys and never goes out to play because he’s in his late teens. Oh i forgot to say, it's also very expensive because they can see everything from where they live. They could see everything the plants, buildings, the city etc.

They have a lot of friends that come over but only once a year(lol) it’s because they live away from town, and it takes 23 hours just to get there. (Im sure you guys are wondering how do they get food supplies). They make one shopping trip and buy everything they need for the next 3 months. Once it runs out they have to wait for their child supports so they can buy their food supplies for the following 3 months.

The only time Goku and his family leave their home is when there is a party or a crisis.The best thing about Goku’s house is that it looks small but it is really big inside. Also this house is very ancient.

A Trip to Remember (PART 1)

BOOOM! The door shuddered as a group of figures burst through, they had been waiting for 15 minutes now, with guns on their backs, occasionally shooting the things following them.  Running through corridors and into different movie screenings, the things stumbled and fumbled after them ‘Now, you may be wondering, Why’s this happening?, well here’s the start’

Hi my name is Ben, My friend Tom and I have been on the run for years now. We are the Top criminals of America. We have been killing, kidnapping, robbing and we have been stealing foods because we are low on budget.

One early morning Tom and I were in the mood of stealing. So we did, We were low lifes who had no jobs, no place live, no nothing just things we stole. We were best friends who grew up being a  “wanna be gangsters”. Yup we were wanna be gangsters. Our teachers were right after all. When I think back all we ever did in class was mucking around, talking, teasing the teachers, bullying. We regret so much right now. If we didn’t do all those negatives things we wouldn’t be where we are right now.

We will probably have jobs, money, houses, food, etc. Look at us were poor, begging, stealing doing all the things normal people won’t do. It’s really emotional to think back but that’s the past let’s just move forward and forget. (Well back to the story)

2 Months later

We came to a house that was really massive. We went to search if anyone was inside. We went inside and found a movie screen and a lot of other rich stuff. We went to walk to the second floor and saw a man in the room eating. We asked him if he knew us and he said no. He told us if we wanted his house and we said yes and kicked him out of the house. We went to sleep and woke up to police outside the house wait for us to fight. Yes we had a fight, we got our gear and put straps of guns on us. We walk outside and started shooting them so they wont shot us back. We got away and Hijacked a car and drove off into the woods.We found an escape route which leads us to an beer shop. We went inside and got really drunk and then walk the rest of the way because if we drove, we could've died along time ago.

We carried on our journey which took us 5 hours to get out of the woods. We walked around the corner and found ourselves trapped because there were police everywhere. We killed all of them with our shotgun. We escaped again.

On the Mend Summary

Here is a summary I wrote on the book we read. On the Mend. My reading group has been working really hard on our work.

This story is about K2 the kiwi. When K2 was born he injured his leg and it was pretty bad. As time flew by he learnt to walk on one foot but he needed support with his Bill. He was kept at the Whangarei Kiwi House. When he grew up he was taken to the Auckland zoo to be checked if he could live in the wild. They had options but they went for the impossible. Operating a K2s leg. K2 had support from the BNZ kiwi trust and the from the council. His first operation was successful but the screws were loose. So they booked another operation a month later and it was a real Success. It was a huge improvement, or tho he improved, he could never walk entirely normal again.

Ripper Rugby

Ripper Rugby

Today Room 7 a great session at Ripper Rugby. Our coach was Matt, he is a coach at Varsity Rugby Union. Some students from our school know him because they currently play for Varsity.

Ripper rugby is a sport where there is no contact. Just two tags that you have to rip off their waist belt. It’s a very quick speed game. It’s fast and has a lot of intensity. (So back to the Recount).

First of all we had a warmup game, where 3 taggers have to tag you with a rugby ball. Once you get tagged you either have to do a pressup or a starjump. It was a very fun game. Then we moved on to passing. There are 4 cones set and you have to move the ball from one end to the other. We learnt that we have to have our targets up, communication etc.

After that we moved on to Bull Rush. Everyone had to get a belt and a tag. Later on we hopped straight on to the game. It started off as one tagger then the number of taggers went higher and higher. There was only two runners left and the whole class in the middle. They both tried their hardest but only one prevailed.

When the game ended we all packed up and had a huddle on what we had learnt today. I had learnt that we always have to communicate. So communicate and try your hardest in every game you play.
